The Manila Hotel and the Designers Circle Philippines partnered for the fashion exhibit, “Draped in Valor, Fashioned in Freedom: 2026 Philippine Independence Showcase,” presented at the Manila Hotel’s Grand Lobby beginning June 17 until July 10, 2026, in celebration of the Philippines’ 128th Independence Anniversary.
Located at One Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila, the Manila Hotel, the oldest five-star hotel in the Philippines, first opened its doors to customers more than a hundred years ago on July 4, 1912, to commemorate the country’s independence from America. Previously a state-owned hotel and managed by the government, the Manila Hotel has since been privatized, but it continues to celebrate the history it has made as one of the signs of the Philippines’ independence and rich heritage.

The Designers Circle Philippines is an organization of Filipino fashion designers, ranging from seniors and experienced to young, new, and emerging. They create fashion designs and exhibit their work to promote Filipino creativity, craftmanship, and textiles from all over the archipelago.
